Please help us by donating through this website.
We are trying to raise funds to maintain this website as well as to
acquire equipments, transport, and insurance for our activities in the near future.
Update:
During a demonstration in South Korea, one of our members
suffered a serious injury. His partner almost cut his finger off
using a machete. Because of this injury, a member of our delegates
have to stay in Korea longer than the scheduled time with the injured
person.
The event is at the Chungju Martial Arts Festival in October 2008.
We received tremendous assistance from the Koreans, but we have
to bear the cost of hospitalization, ambulance, as well as an upgrade
to our flight due to the nature of the injury.
Even after insurance we may have to bear a large portion of the cost.
This does not include the loss of income by our members.
Thus the need to raise funds as quickly as possible. We hope to appeal
to your good self for donations to cover these costs. Please help us
if you can.

For your Information:
Our Silat Organization is strictly 'non-profit' in nature.
We do have income from our activities such as grading, competition, etc.
But income from these activities are not very high.
In Singapore, most Silat organisations operate under community clubs.
Income from monthly fees to students go to the clubs first, and a portion
of it goes to the instructors. Only a tiny portion of what goes to the instructors
actually go to the Silat organisation as the needs of the instructors take priority.
Such is tbe nature of our Silat organisation, whose main mission is not necessarily
profit but mainly to preserve the cultural heritage known as Silat Seni Gayong.
We went to great lengths to preserve this silat style in its most traditional form.
Thank you and may God bless you.
Azlan bin Abu Hassan.
