SENI GAYONG (PASAK) MALACCA

 

Delegation from Singapore consists of Mr Hj. Hussain Kaslan, Hj Yusof Osman, Mr Mohd Rahim, Mr Mohd Said Yusoff and daughter, Hj Nording Arshad, Mr Awang Jusi and son, and Mr Azmat visited the Malacca branch on Saturday 2 June 2005 to conduct the Perlimau Tapak ceremony and Kris ceremony. Delegation started the journey at 3:00 pm. Due to stoppages along the way and also waiting for Mr Azman (Secretary SSG PASAK Malacca branch) at Air Keroh, we reached Malacca at 9:00 pm. There, the delegation was met Mr Ali from Singapore that happens to be on vacation with his family. They joined the delegation to witness the event. When the delegation arrived, the members we already waiting.

Briefing on the ceremony delivered by Mr Md. Rahim Hj. Hussain.

Hj Yusof was introduced later as Advisor and he was asked to elaborate on his position as Advisor, Silat Seni Gayong (PASAK) Singapore.

And last but not least, speech and advice from Mr Hj Hussain to all present members. Due to his health and that it was getting very late, he was brought back to the Chalet to rest.

The Perlimau Tapak ceremony was conducted at 9:00 am by Mr Md. Rahim Hj. Hussain with Mr Md. Said and Mr Hj. Noordin assiting.

It was followed by the Perlimau Seni ceremony and the Opening Kris ceremony, lead by Mr Hj Hussain.

After the ceremonies, refreshments were served.

No matter where we are. What is important is that Gayong members should maintain and foster relationships and camaraderie. It is the only way Gayong will remain united and strong.
