ANNUAL GRADING
Every year the annual grading was held for rank upgrading and syllabus. The higher the belt rank, the more challenges the practitioner faces. Grading is divided into several areas:
- Deadly locks
- Set forms
- Physical tests
- Acrobatics
- Tiles breaking

In terms of marks, priority is given to the 'Seni' of the movements, its speed and strength. This is because Seni protrays the logic of the movements, along with correctness in form and proper strength in locks and throws, with accuracy in attack.
THE SENI OF GAYONG
The proper movements in attack and defense in Gayong have a unique quality of its own. SENI in Gayong means the correctness of the body and limb positions when applying the locks, throws, and strikes of the art.
DEADLOCKS
Various ranks study different types and number of locks. A beginner starts with empty-hand locks, and follows with locks against opponents with weapons, such as knife, kris, machete, spear, chain, and also 'cindai' depending on the rank and level.
JUMPING EXERCISES OVERCOMING OBSTACLES

 |
The higher the rank, the more challenges that have to be faced. One such challenges is shown here called 'tiger pouncing on prey'. The highest number of obstacle is 12 to 14 people, done by one of our comrades a number of years back.

BREAKING
Deadly attack consists of several ways either using legs, hands, or even the head. The higher the rank the more tiles and angle of attack is required using a number of attack pattern.
There are other information about the syllabus that is not stated here in detail. We can only inform in general terms within the space on this page.

That's all for now.
